Cosmetic dentistry has as goal the creation of balance between the shape, the size, the position and the shade of teeth and the face of each individual. There are a number of esthetic rules to be observed and, of course, the talent of the cosmetic dentist that have interplay for achieving dazzling
smiles.
Our mission is to create for each patient the most beautiful smile he/she can
have.
As Aristotle put it in 340 BC:
Beautiful people do not need recommendation; they achieve success
easily.
The number of teeth to be esthetically treated depends on the width of your smile (count how many teeth are visible when you smile). It also depends on the degree of change in shade of cosmetically treated teeth as compared to the remaining
teeth.
For total makeovers with very white teeth, 10 teeth in each arch need to be treated. For partial makeovers, 6 teeth in each arch will be treated and the rest of the teeth will be
bleached.
Porcelain veneers are the treatment of choice for cosmetic makeovers as porcelain will not stain in time and it is more wear resistant than the enamel of your natural teeth.Porcelain veneers cover the front part and the incisal edge of your teeth thus enhancing tooth strength.
Teeth of young people are white in general, and likewise, white porcelain veneers rejuvenate a person's
smile.
When the teeth to be esthetically/cosmetically treated present large fillings, porcelain crowns are used instead. They protect both sides of the tooth against decay or breakage. No dark line is present near the gums as is the case with some metal and porcelain
crowns.
There is no other dental treatment than can rival with porcelain veneers and crowns in terms of the permanent whitening of teeth, the natural appearance and their bio-compatibility. The cosmetic treatment allows for rapid and long lasting
outcomes.
In general, it takes
2 appointments of 3 to 4 hours to complete an esthetic
treatment.
