The first appointment (15 minutes) is for having a complete examination of your mouth and is done by the doctor. In this first appointment you will find out if you are a good candidate for bleaching. If you are, you will be shown the approximate shade that you will have at the end of the treatment. Here also, you will receive instructions regarding things that you have to do in order to maximize the change in color of your teeth. The doctor will also advise you of what is a reasonable expectation you may entertain regarding bleaching and of other avenues of treatment for patients not qualifying for bleaching or wishing extremely white, perfectly shaped and aligned media type smiles.

The usual treatment consists of:
A powerful 1-hour light initiation/boosting of the tooth bleaching process followed by
Application of a color stabilizing agent and
Home application of carbamide peroxide gel in a custom made tray or direct application of whitening strips.
The necessity and length of home treatment will be decided by the doctor and yourself and is dependant on the type of discoloration you have.
The total cost of 1-hour laser tooth bleaching, including home trays plus gel or strips is 650$. Ask if there is any monthly rebate (3 times per year, $50) when you book the appointment.
A 2-year laser bleaching touch-up costs: $390
Good candidates for bleaching are those who can refrain from smoking and consuming foods and beverages that stain teeth for one day after the bleaching is done.
